TURTLE VISUALISATION
~RECOMMENDED ~
take a deep breathe and relax in your place of safety
close your mouth & breathe through your nose
deep breathe - relax - deep breathe - relax
deep breathe - you are safe in your shell
you are enclosed by the protective shell of the turtle
feel the barrier around you
the hard turtle shell enclosing you
your secrets are safe - your children are safe
start to come out of your shell when you feel protected
slowly peek out and feel your way
feel the water surrounding you on all sides
feel the fluid - go with the flow
bring your arms and legs out into that flow
swim in that silent and soothing calm
slowly adjust to your position in the water
what can you see? - what can you feel?
what is making you uneasy?
open your mouth and allow the water to enter
feel it filling your mouth and washing away
taking away - removing - cleansing
the water is washing out what no longer belongs inside you
inside you - inside you
it flows out into the water
breathe in the pure water - breathe out the debris
breathe in the pure water - breathe out the debris
feel the flow of the water removing what you no longer want
feel the depths of the ocean - the breadth of the sea
absorbing - washing away - absorbing
do you feel cleansed? do you feel different?
swim free and enjoy your body and the sensations of the cleansing water
before you leave the water
make sure the children - your vulnerable children
are protected in the turtle shell - left protected in the turtle shell - safe in the turtle shell
protect them there always as you deal with the daily realities of life
protect them from any triggers entering your turtle shell
leave them safe and protected and loved
(words can be changed to resonate with users familiarity)

~ARE CHARITIES A BUSINESS?~ ~~~~ The government sees them as such and has them live up to business frameworks. .Some charities are million dollar 'enterprises' and the importance of operating charities proficiently and accountably... is not in question here.
My query is on the smaller, voluntarily managed organisations, that fulfil an urgent and/or necessary role in so many Australian lives.
Why are business frameworks being applied to these organisations? The entire wording used has one thinking of a Board of Directors on salaries. These people receive no income and probably never will.
Needs often arise in our society & Australian citizens often group together in order to deal with that particular need.
~~~~ a citizenry the government should be upholding. ~~~~If the government is in the business of managing this nation and are paid handsomely for it, why do they persist in demeaning the goodwill and 'free work' of so many Australians?
Good business practice would be to encourage & support the efforts of any essential volunteer based organisation - they ARE contributing to the health of this nation.
One would be horrified to think that support or non-support may be connected more to Political , Religious & Corporate IMAGE - than to facing the facts and needs of 'the employees' or should that be 'the employers'????
LETTER TO THE EDITOR OF A LOCAL PUBLICATION: (As with many local councils around Australia, much of the ratepayers revenue has been lost through highrisk investments in the United States, and other ways to cover the loss are being sought!!) *$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$* ~ From my lowly position within the shire and after observation of all the opinions on the Leisure Centre I have formulated several questions for consideration. . 1. Why is Southern Highlands revenue invested overseas and not within Australia? . 2. Has a viable map of private facilities on par with the proposed Leisure Centre been processed and access for the public been considered? . Council is not a business per se. It is there to fulfil the needs of all the community, whether with or without transport access, financial means or sporting prowess. . Nick Campbell-Jones states we need to look at the situation with an open mind. From that basis I don't see the concept of business infrastructure being incorporated with council subsidy for public use? . There are many private businesses and schools with swimming and health facilities that could be open to access by the public. Helping both the business and the public by council contributing to their commitment to public access. . The initial and ongoing cost of the Leisure Centre is beyond a council's responsibility or resources. The water usage and electricity quotas would be far better utilised in already established places that at present cannot accept 'outside entry' unless financially viable. . Taxpayer's money would be far better utilised by supporting the local businesses or schools that already have the infrastructure in place. . I would hope that this alternative is given due consideration. Times of access for groups with the potential for Olympic standards. Buses for groups of citizens without private transport seeking exercise, enjoyment and prowess within the water. All entirely possible and drawing together both business and council into partnership status? . As for the swimming pools already in place has council forgotten the unpaid resources of the community that went into building them? Are they to be sold off and demolished or utilised in other ways with 'an open mind' to business and community partnerships? .
