Mom

Is in hospital with pneumonia and the docs want her to, at least, go to intermediate care at the nearby nursing facility before returning home. Me? I hope she opts to stay in the retirement center after she recovers.

My feelings come from watching her for, nearly, three months. Giving up her independence, I know, is tough, but she's really having trouble with her near-sight and a day is tough on her for her breathing difficulties, also.

So, it seems, that I'll be returning to New Hampshire in a couple weeks and help my brother get some things done for Mom.

Life, gosh! We must do our best to enjoy it around the tough spots, no?

I sure try.

  • Mom went to the nursing facility and is resting and receiving her intermediate care. She is not happy, I know, but unable to care for herself, at this time, she is in the right place. A nice retirement home with happy and positive staff.
