So,, here we are at the end of another week, and all is well so far.
I have read a lot of post this week, in the various groups I am in, and I have learned quite a bit. For instance, some of the groups are always alive with something, and others just take it slow and easy. I like the slow and easy at times, because it allows one to really think about what they are going to post, without fear, it may get in there to late. I also like the groups where the posters feel like family. That kind of group makes you feel warm and welcomed always, and the respect that they have for one another is amazing.
What i don't like are the trolls. A troll is someone who goes from group to group, and whose main purpose is to cause trouble in the groups, or choose a couple of people to pick on, and belittle. Never could understand the purpose of that....but it seems this time of year brings them out in droves. Without a doubt they are usually thrown out in the groups, or they leave on their own. But, my question ha always been, What joy to they get out of hurting other people? I mean in this day of being able to talk to anyone around the world, shouldn't we spend more time, learning from those in other countries, and getting to know them?
William, and I have a group that is well for that purpose. Although listed under debates(which we do have some good discussions in it), it is actually more of a spirituality group. NO politics are allowed, and we have folks for across the pond in there with us..it is amazing how much we have in common. Much more than one might think, being that we live so far from one another.
It proves the point though, that if we treat each other with respect, we can learn much more, than always challenging, and belittling people. Oh well, one day maybe the trolls will learn, and finally be nice, and join the rest of us. Until then, the groups will just have to put up with them, and bear and grin it.
Until next time, may the great spirit give you great blessings and you an bring you great peace.
