Does anyone still post blog entries on Yahoo anymore, and do people like myself still read them?

Labor Day came without much (if any) fuss. But then again, that holiday is almost always uneventful for me. Several weeks ago I had to replace my monitor, so my mother and I went to Tiger Direct to see about finding what's availabe. I ended up getting an LCD flat screen. Everyone says the picture on it is supposed to be so much better than on a "traditional" monitor, but I really don't see any difference. My old GE stereo TV died, so it was replaced with a digital HDTV unit. What I like about this is the fact that it isn't nearly as bulky, and heavy as the old one was. But on the downside, it's somewhat smaller. Oh well, at least I got my VCR/DVD player to work with it. So that's a plus.
My roommate and I went to the railroad museum in Bonsal,NC to ride the train. We were lucky enough to ride when the steam locomotive pulled it, you know I really enjoyed that! What the steam locomotive is is an 0-4-0T built about 1941 and was used in the northeastern shipyards I believe. 0-4-0T means there are no lead wheels, four driving wheels, and no trailing wheels. The "T" stands for tanker, meaning fuel is stored in a tank surrounding the boiler of the locomotive. There is no tender car behind the locommotive. And lastly, the locomotive is oil-fired, so there is no coal. All the rolling stock at this museum is standard gauge. If you want to know more about what goes on at the railroad museum be sure to check out their web site, http://www.nhvry.org. One last thought about the steamer... The whistle on it sounds very similar to the one used on locomotive #12 at the Tweetsie Railroad amusement park in Blowing Rock,NC. That one is an old 4-6-0 narrow-gauge locomotive, meaning there are four leading wheels, six driving wheels, and no trailing wheels, and is coal fired. It was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia,PA. Tweetsie Railroad also has a web site, http://www.tweetsie.com.
OK, now I'm going to address my Y.V.S.R.R. model railroad project. As I'm sure you know I had started this plan as an HO scale model railroad, but after moving into this apartment, I decided to see about doing it in N scale. Well now, it seems as though I may go back to doing it in HO scale because 1. HO scale is so much easier for me to handle, and 2. There is so much more stuff available in HO scale as opposed to N scale. So I'm thinking I'll give what I have left over back to my step dad. I'd really like to do that than to sell it off as I'd like to see another model railroader in the family.
Sunday supper at my maternal grandmother's house good, tonight we had sloppy joes, string beans, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, and tea.

Good evening folks....
Tonight's blog entry is going to be short as I have a couple of questions I wish to submit for your approval. And thay are as follows.....
#1 If I were to cook hotdogs by fire on October 31, then would that mean I'd be having a Halloweiner roast?
.........and........
#2 If I had a fear of Christmas, then would that mean I had Santa Claustrophobia?

Well now, it seems as though the problems I've expressed earlier in the week have pretty much taken care of themselves. So I'm a happy camper once more. :-)

Just this morning I turn on my computer to find that the formats for Y!A and YOUTUBE have both changed, but not necessarily for the better. I tried submitting a couple of questions to Y!A, and for some reason I can't figure out, they're not formally summited. And on my youtube page I'm not able to access my music files, or anything else for that matter. All I know is somebody somewhere really screwed up BIG TIME. If anybody has email addresses for them, I really would appreciate you telling me what they are. The sooner this mess is cleared up, the happier I'll be. Thanks folks, I hope everyone has a great week.
