• Interests: I'm NOT into the "simple life", hand washing laundry, etc. I AM into efficiency, organics, alt. energy and building. I'd like to live in a community with somewhat like minded diverse people while still having my own living space and privacy. Due to my activism (mostly credit, banking, 1st Amendment) I don't feel safe anymore at my place in NW AZ high desert and I have nothing in common with my neighbors. Had a good practice run building my house.

• Favorite Books: Almanac of the Dead, Damanhur: The Story of the Extraordinary Italian Artistic And Spiritual Community by Jeff Merrifield -- my almost ideal community, but I'd like to have my own cabin to sleep/work. The temples are fascinating, wonder if spirituality is required for survival (30 years, almost 1000 members). The tree orchestra and their inventions are so inspiring. I'd check them out if I didn't have to fly.
• Books I Want to Read: Haven't really seen anything I find particularly exciting. How to stuff ... currently looking for info on making terra preta, gravity solar water heating, etc. I mostly research on the web.

• Favorite Foods: New Mexican, Thai, Middle Eastern, Indian, spicy
• Favorite Places: Lebanon, but like it anywhere it doesn't rain all the time and isn't very hot/humid. I was quite surprised that I got used to the dry heat in Arizona after many years at the coast near San Francisco. Never planned on spending a summer here, so much for plans ...

Have a well behaved neutered dog, he doesn't chase chickens and is very friendly towards pets and people. I don't eat who I know or watch die.
